Transporter: The person who finds, picks up and transports Wheels bikes back to Wheels Hubs.
Rider: Everyday people in need of an environmentally, safety, and mobility conscious alternate form of transportation.
Bikes: Wheels electric-powered bikes. Keep an eye out for the Wheels logo!
No Parking & Riding Zone: Outside of the allowable drop off area. The app will not let a Rider end their ride if they are in the No Parking & Riding Zone. Riders will be instructed to head outside of the area in order to end their ride by the app.
Service Hubs: Geographical locations for Bikes that need to be Serviced, whether it be maintenance or repair.
Bounty: a dollar amount assigned to the bike you are transporting to a warehouse.
Transport Hubs: Geographical locations throughout the city for Bikes that do not need maintenance or repairs.
App: The Wheels app. You can use your Wheels app to find, and drop off bikes at hubs!
Bike QR code: A machine-readable optical label that contains information about the item to which it is attached, in this case, the Wheels bike you are Transporting. If a QR code is missing, there is a serial number located on the underside of the bike (between the pedals, and front wheel).
Offline: Bike is unavailable.
Drop-off: One of two toggle options within the app designed to show on a Transporter on a map where bikes can be dropped in a Service or Transport Hub.
Pick-up: One of two toggle options within the app to show that a Transporter is ready to pick up bikes, check the bounty on them, and take them to Drop-Off locations.
Stripe: You will be signed up for a Stripe account, which handles both payments, and payouts.
Battery QR code: A machine-readable optical label that contains information about the item to which it is attached, in this case, the battery.
